Herbert Gantschacher about George W. Bush, Joe Biden and Donald Trump

"Let's Impeach The President"

2026.01.05
An indictment at the International Criminal Court in The Hague makes no sense, because the USA does not recognize the court.

In 2006, Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young called for the impeachment of US President George W. Bush "for lying and misleading our country into war, abusing all the power that we gave him, and shipping all our money out the door.“ Young was referring to the Iraq War, which Bush started in 2003 in violation of international law. Songs of Neil Young like "Ohio," a protest song against US President Nixon and the Kent State University massacre, "Rockin' in the Free World," a song that Donald Trump would have liked to use for his purposes but was forbidden by Neil Young, "Chicago" and "Denver" of David Crosby for the US Democratic Party conventions, performed by the great band Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, as well as Neil Young's song about environmental protection, "Rules of Change", concerning Monsanto, testify to the necessity of protest. Even 20 years after its creation, Neil Young's song "Let's Impeach The President" is still relevant. An indictment at the International Criminal Court in The Hague makes no sense, because the USA does not recognize the court. There was a plan to indict US President Joe Biden in The Hague, but it was dropped. With the kidnapping of the Venezuelan president US President Trump will certainly not get the Nobel Peace Prize. As in the case of Iraq, the issue in Venezuela is also about natural resources like natural gas and oil. When Russia annexed Crimea, the country was expelled from the G8 and sanctions were imposed. With the start of Russia's war against Ukraine in 2022, disguised as a "special operation", the sanctions were expanded, and an international arrest warrant was issued against the Russian president, as it was the case against Israel's prime minister during the Gaza war. In the case of the USA and the military commando operation against Venezuela, there is largely silence in world politics. China demanded the immediate release of the kidnapped man, and protests are taking place in front of the White House and in cities across the USA, and worldwide too, as in Hamburg and Berlin for example.
